Domain Trust vs. Domain Authority

The term Domain Trust is similar to metrics such as Domain Authority (DA) by Moz or Domain Rating (DR) by Ahrefs, but is not the same.

  • Domain Authority/Rating primarily measure the quantity and quality of backlinks.
  • Domain Trust puts more emphasis on the reliability and credibility of the domains that link to you.

A backlink from a reputable news website can therefore contribute more to your Domain Trust than dozens of links from irrelevant blogs.
