Page Authority, often abbreviated as PA, is a score that shows how strong or reliable a specific web page is in the eyes of search engines.
The score ranges from 0 to 100 and is calculated by SEO tools such as Moz or Ahrefs based on factors such as link profile, domain authority, content quality, and internal link structure.
A high Page Authority means that a page has a better chance of ranking well in search results. The value itself isn't an official Google ranking factor, but a handy indicator of the SEO power of an individual page.
The exact calculation varies by tool, but we usually look at:
The score is displayed on a scale of 0 to 100, with new or weak pages having a low value and strong, well-linked pages being higher.
You improve Page Authority by working on the overall SEO quality of the page.
Focus on:
Please note that incoming links do not all point to your home page, but rather to different content pages.
This is how you build a balanced authority across the entire domain.
Although Page Authority itself is not a direct ranking factor, it provides valuable insights into how well a page performs.
Use the score to analyze which pages are stronger than others and where there are opportunities to improve your internal link structure or content.
The goal is not to increase the score on its own, but to improve the underlying factors that contribute to a healthy and reliable website.
Use Page Authority as a measurement tool, not an end in itself.
Compare pages in your own domain and see what content or links contribute to higher values.
An increasing PA is often the result of structurally better content and a stronger link profile.
